C & C Carry Out

Bulgogi? Yeah, well we had no idea either. Turns out bulgogi is Korean for "fire meat" not because it burns on the way down but rather because it is traditionally cooked over an open flame. At C & C there must have been a mistranslation because it was in fact cooked over a warm gridle with more spice than meat. All in all it wasn't too fiery or tasty, but filling nonetheless. We sampled the pork and the chicken varietals but the pork was kind of chewy and the chicken has been described as a "one trick pony."

A friend of ours, Andy, picked up a slightly Asian influenced burger. But if there's a food that should have absolutely no Asian influence it's a bacon cheeseburger. What we didn't know walking into C & C's is that there is in fact a bulgogi burger. As innocent bystanders, it is not our call whether or not this Eastern-influenced burger was intentional or just a crazy random happenstance. What we can say is if you are looking for a good burger and some good asian food, try getting them separately. And at a different restaurant.

  1. So not to judge or anything, but it seems you haven't eaten since July. I hope you haven't starved in the interim. Just saying.
If you need a quick fix for nutrition, you could always go scavenge for mushrooms.
